Bengaluru, November 15, 2024: Bangalore Round Table 7 and Bangalore Ladies Circle 19 have once again made a significant impact on the lives of the underprivileged through their annual ‘Help Someone Walk’ campaign. This year’s 46th Annual Limb Donation event, held at Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital, Bengaluru, saw the distribution of 500 prosthetic limbs to those in need.
The campaign, which raised approximately ₹10 Lakhs, aims to provide life-changing mobility solutions to individuals who have lost limbs due to accidents or illnesses. B S Nesara, President of Bangalore Round Table 7, emphasized the organization’s commitment to uplifting the lives of the city’s disadvantaged population.
Daphne Patil, Chairperson of Bangalore Ladies Circle 19, highlighted the remarkable growth of the initiative since its inception in 1980. She expressed gratitude to donors, volunteers, and partners for their continued support, which enables the organization to provide hope and independence to countless individuals.
Over 500 people were screened for eligibility, and the donated limbs will significantly improve their quality of life. This year’s successful campaign underscores the power of community and the positive impact that collective efforts can have on society.
