“Celebrating Our Differences” , sponsored by Aadya and Tredence Inc, featured over 250 children from special education institutions and less-privileged backgrounds coming together to showcase their talent and unique capabilities
Bangalore, September 27th 2023: Belakoo Trust conducted its second edition of its cultural event, ‘Celebrating Our Differences’ on the 23rd of September in Bangalore. The curated cultural platform, was a full-day program with two tracks, focused on providing a platform for children from diverse backgrounds, with different abilities.
The event primarily celebrated the unique abilities of every child, with the ambition of promoting inclusivity within society. It provided an excellent platform for children who are uniquely abled or from underprivileged communities to showcase their talents and gain the recognition they truly deserve.
The session included the following two tracks:
- Themorning track, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon, featured over 120 children from Parikrma Humanity Foundation. These students, hailing from less-privileged backgrounds and slum localities showcased their talents with a wide repertoire of plays and dance-drama adapted from popular English classics in a combination of English, Kannada, Tamil, Telegu and Urdu.
- The evening track, was from 4:45 PM to 7:00 PM, included performances from over 100 differently-abled children from across six special education institutes in Bangalore. These children, aged 8 to 18 years, put forth inspiring performances in the form of group songs and dances, skits and solo performances.

“Celebrating Our Differences, is a testament of our commitment to creating a world where unique qualities of children are valued, included, and celebrated,” said Dr. Shivananda.R.
