Bengaluru, March 18, 2025 – Tata AIA Life Insurance (Tata AIA) launched its “Pledge to Protect” initiative in Bengaluru, aiming to increase life insurance awareness and secure one lakh lives in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2025.
Marking Tata AIA’s 24th Foundation Day, the Bengaluru agency team, along with branches in key areas like Lavelle Road and Koramangala, engaged approximately 200 consumers through educational sessions led by Head of Agency, Yogesh Anand, and other leaders. The initiative featured public outreach activities including rallies at Church Street, Forum Mall, and Vijayanagar Ashoka Pillar, where employees and advisors distributed information, water bottles, and donated essentials to local old age homes. At IT Park, the team connected with over 300 potential customers to promote financial security.
Amit Dave, Chief Distribution Officer – Proprietary Business at Tata AIA, emphasized the company’s commitment to financial inclusion, stating, “Life insurance provides essential financial security, particularly for vulnerable populations. Tata AIA is dedicated to expanding insurance coverage across India through the ‘Pledge to Protect’ movement.”
This nationwide campaign involves Tata AIA’s 599 branches and over 143,000 agents and employees, conducting various activities such as roadshows, park engagements, community meetings, and health camps. The company is also collaborating with local NGOs, Panchayats, and Self-Help Groups to reach rural and semi-urban areas. Over 550 branches have already participated, engaging approximately 70,000 people.
In addition to insurance promotion, Tata AIA’s “Jagruti” financial literacy program empowers employees to educate underprivileged communities. With training modules in multiple languages, over 3,300 employees have volunteered to share financial knowledge and promote informed financial decisions.
