Held at the Nagapura premises, the event championed the WHO’s 2025 theme, “Hepatitis: Let’s break it Down,” by boosting public awareness, promoting early diagnosis, and encouraging preventive actions.

Distinguished guests, including Hon’ble Minister Sri Dinesh Gundu Rao (Health and Family Welfare), M.L.A. Sri K. Gopalaiah, and M.L.A. Dr. C. N. Ashwathnarayana, alongside senior Lions leaders, graced the occasion with their presence and support.

Hundreds participated in the morning walkathon, followed by a comprehensive free screening camp. Awareness talks by Dr. Umesh Jalihal, Dr. Irshad Ali H., and Dr. Pavan Kumar Madduri highlighted the critical importance of screening, early detection, timely treatment, and vaccination in reducing the burden of hepatitis.

The initiative saw enthusiastic involvement from the public, medical and nursing students, and volunteers from various hospitals and colleges, demonstrating a powerful collective effort towards public health in Bengaluru. This collaborative program marks a crucial stride in the mission to eliminate hepatitis and enhance liver health awareness across the city.
