New Delhi. 23rd March 2022: The Department of Information Technology, Government of Bihar, is taking part in the 29th Convergence India Expo, which is being held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi from March 23-25, 2022, and is organised by India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) and Exhibitions India Group.
The Hi-Tech & Vibrant stall of the Department of Information Technology, Government of Bihar, perfectly reflected Bihar’s digital transformation. The primary goal of participation is to entice investors, venture capitalists, angel investors, and budding entrepreneurs to invest in Bihar’s information technology sector. The IT Department stall visually demonstrated Bihar’s vision of Good Governance and how e-Governance has also created new opportunities for investors to come and invest in Bihar’s IT sector, as Bihar is emerging as an investment destination in the east. Additionally, it demonstrated how Bihar’s 2017 Startup Policy and Industrial Investment Promotion Policy will pave the way for investors and entrepreneurs to establish profitable and sustainable businesses in the state.
“In the future, we will provide customised support to MSMEs and/or established companies in the IT sector.” We plan to build IT towers in Dak Bangla and Bandar Bagicha area of Patna. In the long run, we intend to build an IT City and an IT Park in Rajgir and Bihar.” Mr Santosh Kumar Mall, Principal Secretary for the Department of Information Technology, Government of Bihar, stated (IAS).

The Honorable Chief Minister of Bihar Shri Nitish Kumar has always set high goals when it comes to Good Governance through e-Governance. Under his visionary leadership, the Department of Information Technology (DIT) headed by the Hon’ble Minister Shri Jibesh Kumar is sprinting to achieve the objectives of e-Governance. Shri Santosh Kumar Mall (IAS), the Department’s Principal Secretary is playing a pivotal role in the digital transformation of Bihar. The State’s Vision is also in sync with the Nation’s objective of Digital India.
Day 1 of the event was a resounding success, with the exhibit of the Department of Information Technology, Government of Bihar receiving an overwhelming response from guests and visitors. The Department of Information Technology, Government of Bihar, is participating in the event as a state partner. The participation aligns with the Department’s twin objectives: a) To facilitate IT enablement of departments and online delivery of services, benefits, and subsidies; and b) To boost investment and employment in the state’s information technology sector.
