Billionaire Aryaman Shankar starts off on the right foot with philanthropy - thisweekindia

Bangalore-based Industrialist Sunita Timme Gowda and Ashok Shankar decided to put their best foot forward with their billionaire son and business tycoon Aryaman Ashok Shankar.

Aryaman’s interest for sneakers helped him dive straight into the industry as he meticulously worked on a variety of models and styles. The desire for shoes transformed into a business empire at a tender age for Aryaman.

With the rise of the sneaker market, brands take advantage of social media and collaborations to increase the demand for their products. Cynics may scoff, but there’s no denying that hype is a winning strategy for both brands and retailers alike.

Investment bank Cowen & Co put the global sneaker resale market at US$2 billion in July 2019. It has been projected that by 2025, the value of the market could triple to US$6 billion.

People have been obsessed with sneakers at least since the ’80s, but the secondary market’s current form is relatively new. Sneaker hobbyists existed only in an insular world of online forums, message boards, and sneaker conventions, now they have bombarded Instagram’s explore page and Facebook groups building followers and fame around sneaker closets. This has been one of the driving factors that steered Aryaman to make a mark for himself.

Despite his business acumen, he also followed his philanthropic bloodline with contributions and donations. Aryaman headed to Karnataka’s village Kollegala to step into Seventh Day Adventist School for Speech and Hearing. He not only spent considerable time, but also donated required sports equipment.

Aryaman studied at ACS International School in Singapore. He was just 11 years old when he began exploring business interests. He started his own venture at the age of 13. Along with studies, he took his venture seriously and made it profitable. With soaring profits, he set foot into a Rs 1000 crore broadcasting venture.

Aryaman Ashok is now all of 18 and he has turned heads as a successful businessman. With many business ventures to his credit in Singapore, he holds a special place for his grandmother Savitrama and her village Kollegal.

After completing his studies, Aryaman proceeded to Japan and nurtured an able team with his innovative ideas and intentions. He was accompanied by Genki and Kay Jay, who also travelled with him and visited Kollegal and spent considerable time at Seventh Day Adventists Special School.

Aryaman’s mother Sunitha Timme Gowda has also contributed immensely for the development of this institution.
