BENGALURU, 16 January 2026 – International Tech Park Bangalore (ITPB) today inaugurated the ‘ITPB Metro Skywalk,’ a landmark infrastructure project connecting the Pattandur Agrahara Metro Station (Purple Line) directly to ITPB and Park Square Mall. This strategic development is set to transform the daily commute for over 55,000 professionals, offering a seamless, weather-protected transition between public transit and the workplace.
The skywalk was inaugurated by Gauri Shankar Nagabhushanam, CEO of CapitaLand India Trust, alongside Subramanya Gudge, Director of Project & Planning at BMRCL (representing Managing Director Dr. J Ravishankar), and senior leaders from ITPB’s tenant companies, including TCS, Applied Materials, and Societe Generale.
Spanning 320 feet and elevated 24 feet above the road, the skywalk is designed to decongest one of Whitefield’s busiest intersections. By eliminating the need for pedestrians to cross high-traffic roadways, the structure ensures safer movement for commuters and uninterrupted flow for motorists below.
Mr. Gauri Shankar Nagabhushanam, CEO, CapitaLand India Trust, stated the Metro Skywalk is a critical piece of our infrastructure, ensuring safety for commuters and the broader Whitefield community. This project advances our efforts to build people-centric, sustainable business parks in Bangalore.”
The project serves as a premier example of how private developers and the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) can collaborate to solve last-mile connectivity challenges.
Mr. Ravishankar J., Managing Director of BMRCL, added that such seamless pedestrian linkages are essential to improving metro accessibility and encouraging public transport usage, supporting sustainable urban mobility in Bengaluru.”
Sustainable and Inclusive Design
Built with durable structural steel and modern aesthetics, the skywalk incorporates several “green” and inclusive features:
- Sustainability: Energy-efficient LED lighting and eco-friendly construction materials.
- Accessibility: Wide walkways, smooth ramps, and elevators to assist those with mobility challenges.
- Convenience: Direct entry into Park Square Mall, benefiting shoppers and residents alike.
By integrating the metro network directly into the business hub, ITPB continues to lead the way in creating world-class, sustainable work environments in India’s tech capital.
