“What do you want to be when you grow up?” This is one of the first questions students are asked to give them a sense of purpose when setting career goals or seeking guidance and it’s the first among those questions that seed the thoughts of the future in them. Ekya Schools, CMRPUC and CMRNPS organized its “Career Camp: Connecting to the Future” event, where students of the institution got an opportunity to meet the alums who shared their experiences and best practices of their journey from being a part of the school, being to opportunities that were available to them after graduation that took them to their the jobs they are currently pursuing. The event also saw various experts and industry leaders share their experiences and information about their journeys of success and diverse career options open to students.
The event featured a panel discussion with representatives from various industries in the fields of Law, Armed Forces, Design, Internal Medicine, Astro Physics, Psychology, Entrepreneurship, CA and more. Panelists shared their personal experiences and insights and offered advice and guidance to students on how to best prepare for a career in their respective fields.
As part of the Work Exposure Program, students were exposed to internships in various domains through breakout sessions and tips and tricks for creating a great resume.
A few breakout sessions were held where students were industry professionals who provided tips and tricks to creating great resumes while sharing the names of a few companies from various domains open to hiring students for internships. Multiple topics were also discussed, including finding jobs in a competitive market, navigating the job application process, learning new skills and qualifications for various career paths, and achieving success in a particular field.
The event was open to all the institution’s students and aimed mainly at those stepping into the next chapter of their lives. It was an excellent opportunity for them to gain insight into their various career options that aided them in making informed decisions about their future.

It was a unique opportunity for our students to gain valuable insights and knowledge about the various career opportunities available after graduation. We at Ekya believe that such activities give an up-close look at different career paths and connect their learnings to the real world.
