Bengaluru, 18 April 2023 – CMR University students celebrated World Art Day with great enthusiasm by showcasing their artistic talents through more than 100 art pieces displayed on campus.
The event, held on 15 April 2023, was organized jointly by the CMRU Schools of Management, Economics & Commerce and Social Sciences & Humanities. The display included an impressive range of artworks, including charcoal paintings, photography, abstract art, hand-drawn sketches and more. The pieces showcased the students’ diverse styles and techniques, and their creative expressions were truly impressive.
World Art Day is celebrated globally to promote awareness of the creative and cultural significance of art. CMR University students used the occasion to not only showcase their talents but also to highlight the importance of art in today’s society.
Dr.Venkata Ramani Challa, Dean, CMRU School of Social Sciences & Humanities, expressed her pride in the students’ achievements and emphasized the significance of art in today’s world. She stated, “Art is a form of expression that transcends boundaries and connects people from different cultures and backgrounds. The creativity and diversity showcased by our students are a testament to the importance of nurturing artistic talent and promoting cultural exchange.”
The event was a resounding success, with many visitors, including students, faculty, and art enthusiasts, admiring the artworks on display. The event was an excellent opportunity for the students to showcase their artistic abilities and gain valuable exposure to the world of art.
