Convert problems into opportunities and focus on start-ups, said C.M Patil, CEO of KRISHIKALPA while speaking at CMR Institute of Technology during the inauguration of Academic Programs 2022-23. He encouraged budding engineers to inculcate curiosity and the ability to ask questions. Patil, with his words, encouraged the students to learn from their mistakes and continue to face failures boldly. He stressed that knowledge, skill set, and confidence are critical to attain success.
Shri Vinit Bhansali, Senior Vice president of Venture Partners inspired students to explore immense opportunities in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Bhansali quoted the latest technologies like chat GPT and enlightened the students to focus on Internships that provide practical experience. He observed that practical training through internships plays a major role in providing industry exposure to students.
Shri K C Jagannatha Reddy, Secretary CMRJT who was present on the occasion mentioned that every branch of engineering has the potential to provide solutions for real-life problems. He insisted students to learn to manage their life while facing several challenges and asserted the need for life skills for engineers. In his words, excellence can be achieved with talent and right attitude. Budding engineers need to inculcate a passion for learning and creative thinking and must update their knowledge. Emphasizing the need for large-scale Industry- Institution Interaction, he encouraged the nation’s engineers to concentrate on soft skills as well. Shri K.R. An orientation program was held to enlighten students and parents about the course structure, examination details, and especially their responsibilities. Dr. Sanjay Jain, Principal of CMRIT welcomed the gathering and briefed about the achievements of the institution. He interacted with parents and students on the current scenario in the industry, challenges, and placement opportunities and highlighted that students must take up research and elaborate on the research facilities provided in the college. Many of the attendes expressed their delightment at learning about their responsibilities and prospects. “The interaction has given me a lot of vital information”, said first year computer science student Ms. Sunitha about the orientation program. Mr. Christopher Mark D Souza, a student of Electronics Engineering mentioned that he is excited to see a lot of job opportunities in this field and explore the same.
