Stay home, Draw, Win Your 15 minutes of Fame & Bonus Money

No kidding. It’s child’s play.

Seeing your name in a leading newspaper. Becoming an entrepreneur before you even know what it is. Getting trained by an international/national celebrity painter for free. A free educational course. Being featured in a coffee table book. Getting your fifteen minutes of fame with some money thrown in as bonus. And an Epson printer at home for free of course – much before you even think of your own workstation.

All of this for a doodle. A sketch or whatever.

No going anywhere. Stay home, paint your imagination, post it online – and wait to strut your stuff.

It’s all happening at the latest adda, or chaupal, for kids up to 12th grade students, aka Colorothon, India’s online painting event, from Breathe Entertainment,

After 12 seasons of organizing it offline, the 13th edition of Colorothon has gone online to reach a wider audience. Open till Dec 15, in 3 categories, LKG to second grade, third to seventh grade, and eighth to 12th grade, it is already making waves online with even participants from somewhere near Bhutan border sending their entries!

Kishore Joseph, Breathe Entertainment, says enquiries are pouring in from schools from remote places like Amakcahim, Meghalaya, Guwahati, North-East, Hahim, Aflong, and the Bhutan border!

So if you have a kid at home, ask him to submit a painting or drawing on a A3/A4 drawing sheet or canvas, and post it online at www.kidschaupal.com/talentbox/colorothon.

Can’t convince your kid? Tell your kid it is at the invitation of the Government of India! Yes! Minister of State for Commerce & Industry, GOI, Smt. Kishore Joseph’s vision is to see all of India come together with their own vision on a paper or canvas, on a day every year celebrated as Colorothon Day.

The “painting man” of India comes with substantial brand equity. The Colorothon offline editions for the pasts 12 years, have seen the participation of over 1 lakh people from across the country including cities like New Delhi, Lucknow, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. A journalist, social entrepreneur, & brand manager, Kishore holds multiple records, viz. the London World Record, Asia Book of Records, and India Book of Records for organizing the world’s largest open-air painting display exhibition, held at Vega City Mall, Bannerghatta Road, Bengaluru in Feb 2019, where over 10,000 paintings were drawn by amateurs and professionals including men, women, and children, from 5 year-olds to 90-year-old.

Colorothon has been conceived as a creative escape for children and teenagers from the monotonous routine of academics. To add international value, the event could go on to win a world record for the greatest number of age-group people painting online within a specified period.

The contest entries are being uploaded on to KidsChaupal App from Children’s Day, Nov 14 onwards and is open for submission till Dec 15.

The pandemic threatened to dampen the artists’ spirits this year, but KidsChaupal came together with Breathe Entertainment to take Colorothon to the next level.

Tisya Singh, the 15-year-old phenomenal girl-wonder who excels in a million things, and Brand Ambassador of KidsChaupal is the face of Colorothon this year. The Co-founders of KidsChaupal, Dhiraj Singh, Ashish Srivastava, and Devendra Jaiswal hope the event will become a milestone to cherish in the lives of the young participants and motivate them to excel in their path, just like their Brand Ambassador.
