Bangalore, 18 August 2021: Colt Technology Services India Pvt. Ltd. (Colt India), in partnership with Bangalore North Round Table Trust 25 and Embassy REIT, inaugurated a new classroom block at the Government Higher Primary School in Thanisandra. Constructed over a period of four months during the Covid-19 pandemic, the newly renovated section will welcome students back to the school with an environment conducive to learning, encouraging greater attendance and learning outcomes.
Located within three kilometres of Embassy Manyata Business Park, where Colt India is a corporate occupier, BNRT and Embassy REIT identified the project, while curating the schedule and plan, and managing the on-site upgradations.
With a strength of over 1000 students, the Government Higher Primary School, Thanisandra, required significant improvements to its existing infrastructure due to outdated construction of some of its buildings and a lack of maintenance. Challenges consisted of heavily chipped flooring and water logged classrooms.
The project is funded by Colt India, under its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, includes the renovations and refurbishment of 3 classrooms, water proofing of the terrace, new internal flooring, repairs to the doors and windows, electrical fixtures, painting and furniture installation for both students and teachers of the said school.
Shri. Hanumantharaya, BEO – Bangalore South 4, said, “It is extremely heartening to see corporates and NGOs such as Colt India, Embassy REIT and BNRT providing a model for sustainable and in-depth support for our Government Schools. We consider it as a part of our duty and we make sure that in our small ways we help in making this world a better place.
