Bengaluru, April 24, 2024: Bowring Institute shook up the cue sports scene today by unveiling the inaugural edition of the Cue Sports Premier League (CSPL), a thrilling national-level Snooker extravaganza set to kick off from May 4th to May 10th, 2024. The pulse-pounding tournament will unfold at the esteemed South Pavilion Snooker Arena, Bowring Institute, Bengaluru.
Renowned champions, including the illustrious Padma Bhushan awardee and 27-time World Billiards Champion, Pankaj Advani, alongside Arjuna Awardees such as Aditya Mehta, Sourav Kothari, and National Women’s Champion Vidya Pillai, headline the stellar lineup for the premier edition of CSPL.
In a groundbreaking partnership, Embassy Group steps in as the title sponsor for the inaugural CSPL, while luxury automaker Audi joins as a co-sponsor, adding further prestige to the event.
Broadcasting live exclusively on the Club Liv app, fans across the nation will have front-row seats to witness the clash of titans at one of the nation’s premier Snooker arenas.
A total of 56 players, a mix of international and national talents, emerged victorious through a rigorous auction process held in Bengaluru on April 20th, 2024. These skilled cueists will represent eight dynamic teams vying for glory in the first-ever CSPL.
The teams, boasting names like Lightning Legion, Cyclone Crusaders, and Summer Tuskers, promise an electrifying spectacle as they battle it out for supremacy.

Set in a league format, CSPL will witness intense competition as teams clash in a series of matches. The top four teams will advance to the semi-finals, culminating in a thrilling finale slated for May 10th, 2024.
Each match will unfold in a captivating 7-frame format, blending Singles and Doubles matches across National, State, and Club categories. Notably, the inclusion of a unique shootout in the 7th frame promises to inject an extra dose of excitement into the proceedings.
With its cutting-edge facilities, including 7 top-of-the-line snooker tables and live streaming capabilities, the Bowring Institute South Pavilion sets the stage for an unforgettable showdown. The league will feature the iconic World Championship Star Xingpai and Rasson Tables, ensuring a truly world-class experience for players and fans alike.
