All students can avail of the free coaching for CET and other exams, says Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Dr C.N. Ashwathnarayan and urges students to make best use of this opportunity

Bengaluru, 9th July 2021: Dayananda Sagar Institutions (DSI) today announced that it will be offering free CET/ComedK classes for students preparing to write the 2021 tests. The initiative which provides an intensive learning opportunity to the students was inaugurated by Dr C.N. Ashwathnarayan, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, and Minister for Higher Education, Information Technology and Biotechnology, Science and Technology and Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, Government of Karnataka.

The initiative aims at providing a platform to students across Karnataka and the nation to learn from the best minds, enabling them to do well in the CET and COMED-K exams and choose a college/university of their choice. Online classes for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology will be conducted by subject matter experts.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr C.N. Ashwathnarayan, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Karnataka said, “In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, online coaching has become imperative when there’s intense competition. The high-quality content and the free classes will allow students from all strata of the society from across the state to benefit from this coaching. It is the best platform for the students to fulfill their dreams.”

He added: “In the light of the II PU exams being cancelled, students must now concentrate on the CET exams. These scores will be final. Those who did not have access to high quality coaching can make use of this facility offered by DSI. The rural students, especially stand to benefit from the free coaching.”  

He thanked DSI for providing the high-quality CET preparatory classes.

KEA Director S Ramya, said, “Free CET preparatory classes is a good initiative. She added: Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), in the light of COVID-19 for conducting CET, has made required arrangements and taken all safety measures and the students can participate in the CET 2021 without any worry.”

Speaking on the occasion, R Janardhan- Senior Executive Vice President, Dayananda Sagar Institutions (DSI) said, “From the last six years we have been conducting free CET, JEE coaching in the offline format. However, the covid pandemic forced us to embrace technology and offer the classes in the online mode. This change in delivery of lessons brought in a pleasant surprise. The number of students enrolling to the program hit several thousands.  The impact on the student community and parents was extremely positive heaving a sigh of great relief. The benefit to students was enormous – cutting across social and economic status – encouraging DSI to offer the program in 2021.  Top experts from various colleges have been conducting the preparatory classes. The students are given weekly tests and mock CET/ComedK examinations. Students also receive feedback on the right and wrong answers. These tests and feedback ensure students are well prepared to write the CET/ComedK or other similar tests. The repeat tests give required practice enabling students to answer maximum questions in the shortest time frame.”

The classes will be telecast on 10 entertainment channels, also, to ensure a wider reach and impact.
