Bengaluru, 28 November 2025 – Decathlon, one of the world’s leading multi-sports brands, today unveiled its dramatically revamped flagship store in Whitefield, transforming it into India’s largest and most comprehensive sports ecosystem. This 60,000 sq. ft. future-ready facility is designed to redefine how Bengaluru plays, learns, and experiences sport, blending immersive retail with multi-sport arenas, expert coaching, and cutting-edge circular services.
The investment underscores Decathlon’s commitment to making sport accessible for all and strengthening community-centric sports infrastructure across India.
The two-storey flagship store brings all sports under a single roof, offering a holistic 360-degree sporting experience. The store’s first floor features an impressive 29,000 sq. ft. of state-of-the-art, fully air-conditioned multi-sport arenas. These arenas are surrounded by immersive product showrooms, encouraging customers to actively try, test, and experience products before making a purchase.
Going beyond traditional retail, the store is designed as a vibrant community sports hub. It will host:
- Coaching Programmes: Structured sessions for kids and adults in disciplines including Basketball, Football, Skating, Pickleball, and Gymnastics.
- Community Spaces: A yoga and dance studio, a kids’ zone, and organized weekly cycling and running meetups.
- Events: Workshops and sports birthday parties, fostering a thriving local sports community.
The Whitefield flagship integrates next-generation retail experiences for an effortless and integrated sporting journey. Innovation features include:
- Omnichannel Integration: A unified commerce model seamlessly connecting the Decathlon app, website, and in-store experience.
- Next-Gen Tech: RFID-enabled journeys and mobile checkouts for efficiency.
- Enhanced Exploration: Dedicated Try-Buy zones, immersive showrooms, and enhanced trial areas for hands-on exploration.
Crucially, the store is a showcase for Decathlon’s commitment to sustainability through its comprehensive Circular Business Initiatives. The Omni Services Zone unites eco-conscious services, including:
- Second Life: A buyback and resale program to give pre-loved gear a new purpose.
- Level 3 Workshop: Expert repair and maintenance services, promoting a “repair, not replace” mindset.
- Personalisation and Design Stations.

The Whitefield store, first opened in 2012 as one of Decathlon’s earliest locations in India, has historically served over 1.1 million customers. Its dramatic transformation solidifies its role as the brand’s pioneering flagship and a cornerstone for the dynamic and fast-growing sporting community in Bengaluru.
