Give your discarded, unwanted, not working, and nearing or at the end of their ‘useful life’ electronic waste and drop at FAFF Exhibition at Hitex on 10th October: Ms. Praneetha, Founder of Sustainaholics 

You can also drop them at any of the 12 locations in the city.

Hyderabad, October 07, 2021. Sustainaholics, a community of few environmentally conscious people in the city who are concerned about Sustainability announced an e-waste drive.  They urged citizens to donate e-waste instead of discarding it irresponsibly.  The drive was announced on the eve of International E-Waste Day.

All the citizens need to do is to walk into FAFF, an exhibition with purpose and cause on 10th October at Hitex, Madhapur from 10am to 10pm where Sustainaholics will have a stall.  You can drop your e-waste.  

E-Waste drop locations are also available till October 9 during working hours at Partani Towers, Golconda Cross Roads, Musheerabad;  Avino Biotech, Autonagar, Vanasthalipuram; Big Value Super Market, Sun City; Emerald Mithai Shop, Banjara Hills; E’Woke Vegan Store and Cafe, Sainikpuri; Healing Smiles Dental Clinic, Kukatpally; Planetarium Vegan Store and Cafe, Gachibowli; Sri Lakshmi Sai Nilayam Apartments, Lakshmi Nagar Colony, Kothapet; Srinidhi Dental Clinic, Bowenpally; Terrassen Cafe, Film Nagar; Tulja Bhavan Medical and General Stores, Bhavani Colony, Rajendra Nagar and Zero Waste Eco Store, Kharkhana and FAFF Exhibition on 10th October.

The name Sustainholics comes from workaholics.  Similar to workaholics, we are few environmentally conscious people are Sustainaholics said Ms. Praneeta, who founded it along with couple of like minded friends. 

Donating or recycling consumer electronics conserves our natural resources and avoids air and water pollution, as well as greenhouse gas emissions that are caused by manufacturing virgin materials says Ms. Praneetha. 

FAFF is pleased to associate with Sustainaholics in this noble cause. We have even provided them a stal, said Ms. Aabha Mirza of FAFF.

What is e-waste? E-waste is electronic products that are unwanted, not working, and nearing or at the end of their “useful life”.  What can be donated?  TV (Screen ok / broken); Fridge; Washing Machine; Microwave Oven; AC Window /Split(1.5 ton and below); Geyser/Water Purifier; DVD/CD; Speakers; Mobile phones/cameras; Landline Phones; Watch; Music System; Coolers etc. Computer equipment like Monitor(CRT); Monitor(Screen broken); CPU; Laptops(small), Printer/Scanner; UPS; Xerox; Servers; Typewriters; Routers/Modem and in Electrical items, fans, exhaust fans, motor/pump; invertors; generator; CCTV cameras, Exercise Machines, Electric Wires and other.

We are doing this in collaboration with FAFF, Waste Ventures India, a Hyderabad based waste management Social Enterprise. Waste Ventures in turn will properly recycle them. The proceeds earned out of donating e-waste will be given to Dhruvansh NGO who in turn will use the funds for restoring Mushki Lake in Manikonda, informs Praneetha

We request people to carry their E-Waste (i.e. all discarded electronics) to FAFF Super Sunday on 10th October from 10 am to 10pm or go to any of the above given locations nearest to you before 9th October during working hours and deposit.
