Students Explore Sustainability Through Competitions and Crafts
Delhi Public School R.N. Extension (DPS RN Extension) celebrated Earth Week with a variety of engaging activities designed to promote environmental awareness and sustainability among students from Nursery to Class 10.
The week featured creative competitions based on Earth Day themes. Students enthusiastically participated, showcasing their artistic talents and commitment to eco-friendly practices.
One unique activity involved creating artwork using recycled materials like used straws, bottle caps, and jute swabs. Students also learned the importance of reusable bags by crafting them from hand-made paper, fabric, and other alternatives to plastic.
The week wasn’t just about crafts; students also participated in a food web design competition, encouraging critical thinking and individual creativity. Additionally, an Intra-Class Bird Feeder Making Competition fostered wildlife conservation and a sense of environmental responsibility.
“Our Earth Week celebration aimed to inspire a lifelong commitment to protecting our planet,” said Ms. Pallavi Upadhyaya, Principal of DPS RN Extension. “Through these engaging activities, we hope to nurture a deep connection with nature and empower our students to become future leaders in sustainability.”
