Bangalore, India July 2, 2024 – Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital is teaming up with The Akshaya Patra Foundation to improve children’s health and education through nutritious meals.

As part of their social responsibility efforts, Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital sponsored over 424,252 meals for 2,556 children in 34 schools during the 2023-24 fiscal year. They partnered with Akshaya Patra, India’s leading NGO running the PM Poshan program.

More Than Just Eye Health

“We’re proud to support this initiative,” said Mr. Dheeraj ET, AVP of Operations at Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital. “It reflects our commitment to healthy communities, not just healthy eyes. We want to make a positive impact on young minds by supporting their physical and mental growth.”

Going Beyond Sponsorship

The hospital’s contribution goes beyond meals. They donated a food delivery van in Hubli to help distribute meals to 28 schools, reaching about 6,000 children daily. This aligns with Akshaya Patra’s mission to end classroom hunger.

Investing in the Future

“Partnerships like this are crucial for nurturing children’s health and education,” said Mr. Dhananjay Ganjoo, CMO of The Akshaya Patra Foundation. “Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital’s support is an investment in India’s future. Together, we’re setting an example for how businesses can help social causes.”
