FKCCI has welcomed the state government’s green signal to give electricity connections to building owners without occupancy certificate (OC),stating that it has come as a huge relief to more than 5 lakh people.
“We are thankful to Energy Minister, Sri V. Sunil Kumar for heeding to the grievances of many aggrieved people in this regard,” said Dr I.S. Prasad, President, FKCCI. “Due to various reasons people are unable to get the OC in time and cannot be expected to manage without power. The FKCCI too had represented this issue with the government and it has rightly heeded our plea, as it is similar to extending the same principle behind the government’s Belaku programme that aims to electrify rural households without power,” he said and requested the Minister to ensure that the official notification in this regard is issued by the Energy Department without any delay.
