Bengaluru: Ms. Esha Vig, an interior designer from Bengaluru, qualified for the Haut Monde Mrs. India Worldwide 2022. “Go-Getter”, her favorite word, describes her life journey utterly. She was born into a Punjabi family in Delhi and brought up in Chennai. She enjoyed the cultural diversity of India. An electrical engineer by education, she started working for a company in Chennai.
She was bored with life in a cubicle. She had a stint in the marketing department for the same company for some time. Speaking about her childhood, she said, “I had a joyous childhood. My parents wanted me to be self-driven and their emphasis was on my overall development rather than just studies.” Her marriage with Himanshu Bhalla was an arranged marriage, and post marriage, she settled in Bengaluru. She described her husband as her role model and biggest cheerleader. When she had her first child, she thought her whole life was only about her child, however, there was a sense of emptiness in her. To keep herself busy, she started a company called Skittles, which specialized in kid-based events. Amazed by her skills, she was offered the post of Lead Designer in a company called CubesNspaces. “I enjoyed meeting new families and understanding their requirements. I used to come up with new ideas. At that time, I was carrying my second baby. At times it was hard, but I sailed through in style.”
She was introduced to Haut Monde by a beautiful soul – Amisha Sethi, who is the reigning Mrs. India Worldwide. Esha liked the platform, which gives women a chance to make an impact in the lives of millions. Doing a ramp walk or doing a photo shoot was something she never thought about, and today she is working on various modelling assignments. Speaking of Mr. Bharat Bhramar, chairman of Haut Monde, Esha said, “Mr. Bharat Bhramar is a visionary. He has been progressively working towards the betterment of women at large, be it creating a global platform like Haut Monde Mrs. India Worldwide or being a torchbearer for social work positively impacting underprivileged women. “
Post the pageant, Esha wants to start a venture for mothers, a unique idea to keep them mentally and physically fit. Added Esha, “Women give up on their identity after kids. Sometimes, it is just not enough to prove oneself professionally. What about our passions, hobbies, fitness, and beauty regime. I believe pursuing the same inculcates happiness within you and your family.”
