New Delhi, November 01, 2021: In a bid to raise awareness regarding early-age blindness, Shahnaz Husain, one of the most well-renowned Herbal cosmetics brands in the world, participated in the Blind School Diwali Mela, held from 28th October to 1st November at the Blind Relief Association, Delhi.
This is not the first time Shahnaz Husain, as a brand, has participated in such an event. The brand regularly scouts for such events and likes to be at the forefront of social change, helping the less privileged in any way it can. In the five decades of its existence, the brand has always given a helping hand to the specially-abled section of society.
Shahnaz Husain’s International Beauty Academy always keeps its doors open for the speech, hearing, and vision-impaired students in order to ensure that they too can find employment opportunities by developing specialized skills at one of the most well-renowned beauty academies.
The brand launched Shamute in 1984 to help the hearing and speech impaired and Shasight came into existence later to train the visually impaired. After receiving training under these initiatives, the students have the opportunity to either work in Shahnaz Husain salons spread all over the country, or find employment on their own.
Talking about the participation in the recent event, Shahnaz Husain said, “Empowering lives has been the motivation for my philanthropic work, which has remained the nerve centre of my entrepreneurial success. I feel grateful that I have had this opportunity to pay back in a small way for what I have received in plenty. It gives me a wonderful feeling of having achieved something truly worthwhile. It cannot be measured in material terms.”
