BENGALURU, 10th May 2025: Health and wellness enterprise Happiest Health hosted the much awaited, second edition of its flagship Women’s Wellness Summit, Happiest Her 2025 at Pope Paul VI Auditorium, St. John’s Campus, Koramangala, Bengaluru, today. The day-long summit brought together healthcare professionals, wellness experts, to address the physical, mental, and lifestyle-related health challenges among working women.
The summit was inaugurated by Davis Karedan, Co-Chairman, Happiest Health, in the presence of Dr. Pratima Murthy, Director, NIMHANS, Mr. Raghu Krishnan, Co-CEO, Happiest Health – Knowledge, Mr. Ravi Joshi, Co-CEO, Happiest Health – Knowledge, amidst over 250 participants.
With the increasing spotlight on women’s health in high-stress environments, the summit served as a platform to explore challenges such as PCOS, stress, and lifestyle-related metabolic conditions. It also delved into actionable pathways for empowerment through fitness, nutrition, sleep, and financial well-being.
Dr. Pratima Murthy, Director, NIMHANS , delivered a compelling keynote address on Empowering Young Working Women said, “Adulthood is the most productive phase of our lives, but it also brings immense responsibility and change. As people age, many face challenges like loneliness, lack of social support, and reduced cognitive engagement, factors that significantly impact wellbeing. During these challenges, we must not lose sight of physical health. Dieting and exercise are critical, especially in combating the rise of lifestyle-related diseases. As the saying goes, ‘genes load the gun, lifestyle pulls the trigger’, a reminder that our daily choices play a powerful role in determining long-term health outcomes”.
A panel discussion titled Women’s Health: Metabolism and Poor Lifestyle Choices featured expert speakers including Dr. Vidya V Bhat, Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, Radhakrishna Multispecialty Hospital and IVF Center, former president, Karnataka State Obstetrics and Gynecology Association, Bengaluru, Dr. Paras Sharma, Director (Programs and Services), The Alternative Story, along with Saraswathi Anand, Powerlifter, Athlete, Head of Marketing River Mobility, Bengaluru and Dr. Sharvari Mundhe, Consultant Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist, Motherhood Hospitals, Sarjapur, Bengaluru.
Dr. Sharvari Mundhe, Consultant Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist at Motherhood Hospitals, Sarjapur, Bengaluru, said: “Metabolism isn’t just about calorie burn it influences everything from gut health to hormone balance. Frequent headaches are often dismissed or treated with over-the-counter medication, but they can be early warning signs. I always tell patients that prediabetes are silent alarms often ignored until it’s too late. Mindful eating and consistent exercise matter far more than chasing the latest diet trends.”
Saraswathi Anand, Powerlifter, Athlete, and Head of Marketing at River Mobility, Bengaluru , said: “As a mother of twins and a marketing head, people often ask me where I find the time. I tell them if my screen time is four hours, I can find 20 minutes to train. I began with light lifting, was discovered by a coach, and soon progressed to state, national, and even international competitions, setting a world record. Starting strength training early helps build lasting muscle and is one of the best defenses against modern lifestyle diseases.”
Towards the end of the summit, Ryan Fernando, Celebrity Nutritionist & Health Coach and Founder of Qua Nutrition, Bangalore conducted an engaging session on Common Nutrition Mistakes Women Make and How to Fix Them and said, “the first wrong thing is the perception that you feel weight is the absolute measure of what you are searching for as a woman. Unfortunately, India is health-loving, not health-doing. Everyone knows they need to develop more muscle, but how many have gone out and hired a personal trainer to develop this muscle? Please focus on muscle, it is the hero in your body. The only reason you will be fitter, healthier, and younger in the years ahead is because you invested in a systematic investment plan, an SIP, for your muscles. That’s the secret no one tells you”.
