New Delhi, 8th June 2021, IIIT-Delhi inaugurated the 2nd edition of the 5-weeks intensive online Employability Enhancement Program, VLSI ReVisited Summer School at 9:30 am today, 7th June 2021. The summer school will continue until 9th July 2021 and is being technically co-organized by IEEE Circuits And Systems Society and Control Systems Society (IEEE CASS-CSS), Delhi chapter. Professor Ranjan Bose, Director, IIIT-Delhi, gave the inaugural address.
Professor Bose welcomed the faculty and students from more than 6 IITs, 5 IIITs, 13 NITs, prestigious government colleges like DTU (Delhi Technical University), PEC (Punjab Engineering College), JMI (Jamia Milia Islamia), Jadavpur University, IGDTUW (Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women), and numerous private engineering colleges like BITS Pilani, Manipal institute of technology, and JIIT among others that have enrolled in the summer school.
This year’s cohort of more than 170 also includes participants from industry and international students from Malaysia. The 5-week Summer School will cover a wide range of VLSI subjects, viz., Digital Circuit Design, Analog Circuit Design, Mixed Signal Design, Computer Architecture, and Digital System Design. The subjects will be taught by reputed faculty from IIIT Delhi and IIT Delhi. There will be weekly assessments and the top performers of every week will be awarded.

So, the students will get to perform their lab work on industry-standard tools. During the Inaugural ceremony, Prof. Bose said “We aim to be a world class education institute while being socially relevant and industry facing. Outreach events like VLSI ReVisited are also a way to reach out to practitioners and industry professionals to ensure that their skills are continuously upgraded.” More than 30 industry participants have enrolled for the summer school.VLSI ReVisited Summer school is also a great opportunity to offer much-needed industry exposure to the students in a safe and nurturing learning environment.
