New Delhi, August 09, 2023: The prominent G-20 Conference on “Achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for a Better World” organised at IILM University’s campus brought together esteemed experts, policymakers, and thought leaders to address pressing global issues and drive the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
Celebrating the presidency of India at the G20, the conference commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp. Following this, Professor Sujata Shahi, Vice Chancellor of IILM University, delivered the welcome address, extending her gratitude for the forthcoming informative sessions.
Another key highlight of the event was an impactful address by the Honourable Chief Guest, Mr Harsh VardhanShringla, Chief Coordinator of G20 India Presidency who emphasised the crucial role of global collaboration in achieving sustainable development.

The day-long G20 conference also encompassed numerous thought-provoking and meticulously designed sessions to delve into essential aspects of sustainable development-:
Chaired by Dr Bhimaraya Metri, Director of IIM Nagpur, this session explored the transformative potential of quality education in nurturing a peaceful and prosperous world.
Prof. Mahadeo Jaiswal, Founding Director of IIM Sambalpur, chaired this session, which emphasised gender equality as a fundamental human right and a foundation for a peaceful and sustainable world.
Chaired by Prof. Raj Nehru, Vice Chancellor of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, the session analysed approaches to address inequality, improve access to finance, and encourage responsible consumption for a better world.
