Bengaluru, 11th April: Speaking to a YouTube channel on Sunday, Indian National Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s husband, Robert Vadra hinted at joining politics on Sunday.
Vadra came into the limelight after marrying the daughter of Sonia Gandhi in 1997. In the last 6 years, he has been in news for an alleged land grabbing and money laundering case. Vadra thinks he is ready to join politics. He told he has been doing charitable work for the last 10 years and people know him and his nature. In addition, he accused the media of not showing the truth and being biased which can be a danger to democracy. He later went on to say that he understands politics and he is ready to take responsibility.
He criticized the ruling government for imposing a precipitous lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic, unemployment, and creating communal tension in the country. Vadra has also earlier criticized the central government agencies to be a puppet of the ruling government.
He also praised his wife’s performance in the Uttar Pradesh elections where the INC won 2 out 403 seats (INC contested 399 seats).
Currently, the party has its government in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. With collation government in Jharkhand, Maharashtra, and Tamilnadu. The INC Congress is in its worst position and the majority of the people blame the nepotism in the party.
