The Book KAA KAA KOO is written by John Devaraj – International Artist, Sculptor, Painter, Musician, Playwright, Mime Artist, Actor, Taichi Component , Potter Art Director, Architect and Designer.
Kaa Kaa Koo is a musical theater that is written with a deep historical perspective. It draws its thesis from the thoughts of Basavanna who says “Don’t exclude. He is one of us. Include” He fought against the vastly practiced caste system in India.
The title KKK itself comes as an antithesis to Hitler’s 3Ks. He said the role of a woman is Kirche, kinder, Köch is to pray in the church, produce children and cook in the Kitchen. Hitler was championing the Aryan supremacy. The Blue-eyed Blonde is the ultimate beauty of a superior race. The KKK, Ku Klux- Klan is also the white Supremacy ultra-rightwing in the USA. With its long history of violence, the Ku Klux Klan is the oldest and most infamous of American hate groups. They simply killed out all other colors. They use terror as the main method of achieving their goals.
The New KAA KAA KOO is the new antithesis to the crumbling decadent ideas of the past! It is a radical thought to vanquish inequalities and injustices, the racist color prejudices that is foisted upon and perpetuated through social, and religious thoughts. The casteist communal societies emphasize differences among people to gain political power. For hundreds of years, the caste divide has segregated people to live in different levels and lowly lives. Martin Luther King said” Don’t Judge by the color of the skin but by the strength of the character” Nelson Mandela lived as a prisoner for 30 years for fighting for the Blacks’ freedom against the Apartheid regime.
Human society has been dehumanized and decivilized by greed for property and possession. In complete contrast, Mother Nature lives harmoniously in perfect harmony with each other. She respects each and every member of her family. From the squiggly worm to the tall giraffe. Mutually dependent and variably different!
The story about the crows and cuckoos elucidates the interdependence of animals through an unspoken law that has become nature’s genetic code! So I say nature is the master teacher! This is the legend of the wisdom of KAA KAA KOO.
The author saw a crow couple building their nest in a Gulmohar tree. Two days later, a cuckoo came and laid an egg in the nest. The crows accepted the egg and raised the cuckoo chick as their own.
The author learned a valuable lesson from this experience: that animals are capable of harmony, tolerance, and sharing, even though humans are not. He believes that nature is the master teacher and that we can learn a lot from the way animals live together.
