18th December, Bengaluru: JAIN (Deemed-to-be-University) Shantamani Kala Kendra organized Kalyanpuri Nature Art Workshop. This unique art workshop took place on Sunday, 17th December, at Shantamani Kala Kendra, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) School of Design – Media and Creative Arts, campus.More than 300 artists from several places of Karnataka and surroundings participated in the event.
The primary objective of this Nature Art Workshop was to bring maximum number of artists under the open sky and celebrate the nature in form of art. As the name suggests, Kalyanpuri (happy place) was how Bengaluru used to be called in the past. The Painiting workshop held under amids the nature is dedicated to the vital theme of environmental preservation, advocating nature conservation, tree planting initiatives, and safeguarding Mother Earth from the perils of global warming as well as showcasing the pressing need for addressing the message of ‘development aligned with the nature’. Renowned artist KalaratnaDevi Prasad was also present during the event.
Adding a touch of glamour and support to this significant event, the workshop was graced by the presence of emerging Kannada actor Ganesh Rao Kesarkar and Rakesh Dalawai.
Artists participating in the workshop was provided with essential materials for painting, including canvas boards and acrylic colors. All the paintings will be showcased on a later date through an exhibition and the best artists will be given chance to participate in the national and International level of workshops.
