Karnataka Government Reaffirms Strong Support for Karnataka Arya Vysya Mahasabha

Bengaluru:  Chairman of the Karnataka State Bioenergy Development Board, Shri S. E. Sudheendra, reiterated the Karnataka Government’s unwavering support to the Karnataka Arya Vysya Mahasabha, affirming that the state will continue to fully cooperate with the organization in its various welfare initiatives.

Speaking at a special program organized by the Karnataka Arya Vysya Mahasabha on Monday, Shri Sudheendra praised the association for its commendable efforts in empowering the community through education, social welfare, and financial assistance. “The Karnataka Government, under Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s leadership, has always stood by the Arya Vysya Mahasabha and will continue to positively respond to its needs,” he stated.

The event featured several impactful initiatives, including the distribution of free laptops to meritorious students who excelled in the CET exams, pensions for widowed women, and interest-free loans for students pursuing higher education. Shri Sudheendra highlighted the vital role the Mahasabha plays in supporting the underprivileged, differently-abled individuals, widows, and students in need.

He also acknowledged that the Karnataka State Government has established the Arya Vysya Development Board to further enhance community development. “Though the president’s position on the board is currently vacant, our senior leaders are committed to filling it at the earliest,” he added.

Speaking at the occasion, Sri Ravishankar, President of the Karnataka Arya Vysya Mahasabha, said, “For the past seven years, we have been committed to supporting poor and deserving students. In today’s program, we distributed laptops to 180 undergraduate and postgraduate students, sanctioned interest-free loans to 53 students, extended benefits under the Sandhyashree scheme to 309 widows, and approved lifetime pensions for several differently-abled individuals.”

The event was graced by the presence of Mr. D. P. Nagaraj, Joint Secretary of RV Institutions, and Ms. S. Haritha, IRTS, Senior Director, Indian Railways and Operations Manager, Mysuru Division.
