LuLu Mall Bengaluru Announces Sustainability Initiatives on World Environment Day
LuLu Mall Bengaluru, a prominent shopping mall in the city, revealed its commitment to environmental sustainability on World Environment Day 2024 by launching three innovative initiatives.
InstaBin is a new waste management system that uses smart bins with sensors and AI to simplify recycling. Customers can easily sort their waste and earn vouchers for depositing plastic bottles.
The LuLu Happiness 1000 Trees Project aims to plant 1,000 trees with the help of the NGO Sankalpataru. Anyone visiting the mall can participate. This project aims to improve air quality, reduce carbon footprint, and preserve local biodiversity.
The Wall of Fame is a dedicated space showcasing individuals and organizations making significant contributions to environmental conservation. By highlighting these eco-champions, LuLu Mall hopes to inspire others to take action.
“LuLu Mall Bengaluru is committed to sustainability and taking revolutionary steps to raise awareness about plastic waste recycling through Instabin. We also want to promote cleanliness and greenery through our 1000 Trees Project,” said Mr. Kiran V Puthran, General Manager of LuLu Mall Bengaluru.
These initiatives are launched in collaboration with GreenMic, a socio-environmental agency working on climate action projects.
LuLu Mall Bengaluru’s dedication to sustainability and its innovative approach to environmental protection set a commendable example for other businesses.
