Bengaluru, 12 June 2025: On April 18, 2025, there was a case registered against me(Rajagopal BM, President, Manipal Hospitals Labour Association) and my brother Ravindra Babu BM, Joint Secretary, Manipal Hospitals Labour Association in Jeevan Bima Nagar Police Station, it is completely false and It is part of a malicious conspiracy to remove me and my brother from the position of labor leaders. There is an attempt to implicate us in a criminal case, despite our impeccable performance for three decades.
I have been working at Manipal Hospital, Bengaluru for the last thirty years and am the President of Manipal Hospitals Labour Association (R). Some forces are trying to remove me from this post. Many people don’t like the fact that I belong to a Scheduled Caste and am in a labor union.
Therefore, it is alleged that on April 18, at 8 pm, on a day when my brother and I were not present for work, I forcibly pulled one of my colleagues by the hand and tried to take her to her house on my bike. In reality, it was Good Friday and I was in the temple for prayers. How could I have pulled her by the hand?
However, we both got anticipatory bail and the truth will be revealed through the police investigation. Even tracing our mobile tower location at the time of the incident can prove our innocence.
This is a conspiracy by some employees there to force us out of the labour organization and out of employment. Although there is no substance in the case, the BTV YouTube channel has broadcast news against us, tarnishing our reputation, and is also trying to tarnish the name of the prestigious Manipal Hospital. We have already sent a defamation notice to BTV, but it is returned without being accepted. Therefore, it is far from the truth to say that we have sexually harassed our colleagues. Therefore, we request you to understand the facts about the case and report it in your esteemed media.
