Marvell is partnering with United Way Bengaluru (UWBe) to launch a program called “Rural Rising” in Chikkaballapura District, Karnataka. This program aims to improve the lives of people in the Guluru Gram Panchayat by addressing their needs in education, health, sanitation, and renewable energy.
The program has provided an ambulance to the Bagepalli Taluk Govt. Hospital, built two new Anganwadi Centres, and refurbished a government school. It has also installed water purifier units in three villages and 150 solar streetlights across the gram panchayat.
The program has directly benefited over 5,285 people and many more indirectly.
A launch event was held today with representatives from Marvell, UWBe, and the local community.
“This initiative demonstrates the power of collaboration in achieving lasting effects,” said Marvell India Country Manager Navin Bishnoi.
“The Rural Rising program intends to build self-sustainable rural communities,” said UWBe CEO Rajesh Krishnan.
