Bangalore, December 20, 2025 – MediaTek, the global leader in fabless semiconductor manufacturing, recently hosted its Tech Day 2025 in Bangalore. Under the theme “Innovation, possibilities, and imagination in every chip,” the event served as a premier stage for the company to showcase its latest advancements in AI and camera-centric technologies, specifically within its premium Dimensity portfolio.
The event gathered a distinguished audience of media representatives, technology analysts, and key retail partners from industry giants like OPPO and vivo to explore the future of mobile computing and consumer electronics.
The New Benchmark: MediaTek Dimensity 9500
The centerpiece of the event was the official showcase of the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC. This chipset represents a significant leap in high-performance mobile processing, featuring MediaTek’s third-generation All Big Core CPU design.
The Dimensity 9500 is engineered for extreme efficiency and power, boasting:
- An ultra-core clocked at 4.21GHz for peak performance.
- The industry’s first support for 4-channel UFS 4.1 storage
- The MediaTek Imagiq 1190 ISP for professional-grade photography.
- The Arm G1-Ultra GPU, designed to deliver console-quality gaming on mobile devices.
MediaTek also highlighted its ongoing collaborations with global OEMs, specifically citing the integration of flagship Dimensity silicon into the upcoming OPPO Find X9 series and the vivo X300 series, as well as various high-performance devices in the Dimensity 8000 lineup.
Anku Jain, Managing Director of MediaTek India, emphasized the company’s commitment to the region. “At MediaTek, we believe brilliant technology should deliver experiences that positively impact lives,” Jain stated. He noted that India remains a vital pillar for MediaTek’s long-term vision, serving as both a strategic market and a hub for R&D expansion. The goal is to provide secure, energy-efficient, and innovative technologies that cater to an increasingly digital-first global population.
Anuj Sidharth, Director of Marketing and Communication for India and SEA, echoed these sentiments, noting that the Dimensity 9500 is a breakthrough in making advanced on-device AI and premium camera capabilities more accessible to the masses.
A highlight of the day was the interactive panel titled ‘Chipset Intelligence at the core of tomorrow’s photography and imaging experiences.’ Moderated by Anuj Sidharth, the panel featured Anku Jain, professional photographer Aman Chotani, and Faisal Kawoosa, Chief Analyst at Techarc.
The discussion centered on how advanced chipsets have become the primary driver of the smartphone experience. Kawoosa remarked that modern flagship success is no longer about raw specs, but sustained, real-world performance. “The processor is now the most critical determinant of the user experience,” Kawoosa explained. He credited MediaTek’s Dimensity portfolio, particularly the 9400 and 9500 series, for balancing raw power with the energy efficiency required for modern AI-led applications.
Beyond Smartphones: A Diverse Ecosystem
While mobile chips took center stage, MediaTek reaffirmed its market leadership across a wide array of verticals. The showcase included:
- The Dimensity Family: A lineup featuring the 9500, 9400+, 9400, 9400e, and 9300+ SoCs.
- Smart Home & IoT: Innovations in Digital TVs, smart speakers, Wi-Fi routers, and ARM-based Chromebooks.
- Specialized Hardware: Smart projectors like the Lumio Arc 5 and 7.
- Future Trends: A look ahead at 2026 consumer tech trends, focusing on how the convergence of AI and hyper-connectivity will reshape daily digital interactions.
MediaTek Tech Day 2025 successfully illustrated how the company is moving beyond simple hardware manufacturing to become an architect of digital experiences. By focusing on AI-driven performance and power efficiency, MediaTek continues to empower its OEM partners to deliver next-generation devices to a global audience.
