Bangalore, November 20, 2024 – Medicover Hospitals Whitefield, Bangalore, recently organized a mpactful events to promote health awareness and preventive care, reaffirming its dedication to the community’s well-being. These initiatives addressed key health concerns and engaged diverse groups to emphasize the importance of early detection, prevention, and holistic care.
The activities commenced with a spirited Walkathon to mark World Diabetes Day. Community members, doctors, and hospital staff participated enthusiastically to raise awareness about diabetes prevention and management. This was followed by an Awareness Talk at Gopalan College of Commerce, where experts such as Dr. M. Ravi Kumar, Dr. M. Raghuverma, and Dr. Kalpajit Banik educated over 100 students on lifestyle changes to prevent diabetes and emergency management of complications. A Continuing Medical Education (CME) program for physicians, led by Dr. Raja Selvarajan and Dr. Raghuverma, explored the latest advancements in diabetes care and included an interactive quiz session.
Another significant highlight was the Cervical Cancer Awareness Event, which focused on the importance of women’s health and preventive care. Smt. Reena Suvarna, ACP Whitefield Subdivision, inaugurated the newly launched Cervical Cancer Clinic and emphasized the critical need for awareness among women. A free HPV vaccination drive for women police personnel was also conducted, accompanied by a session by Dr. Jakka Sai Manasa Reddy, who shared insights on early screening and treatment advancements.
