Madurai, August 6, 2024: In response to the devastating landslides that ravaged Wayanad, Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre (MMHRC) has pledged its support by donating ₹10 lakhs to the Kerala Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund.
Dr. B Kannan, Medical Administrator of MMHRC, personally handed over the donation to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan during a visit to Wayanad.
Expressing deep sorrow over the loss of life and property, Dr. S. Gurushankar, Chairman of MMHRC, stated, “We are heartbroken by the images of suffering caused by this natural disaster. Our thoughts are with the people of Wayanad, and we stand united with the Kerala government in their relief and rehabilitation efforts. This donation is a small token of our support, and we are committed to providing any further assistance needed.”
MMHRC has urged the community to come together and contribute to the relief efforts.
