Nestlé India has unveiled the much-anticipated NESPRESSO, renowned for its premium coffee range, set to hit Indian markets by the end of 2024. Offering both original and professional systems, catering to domestic and commercial consumers, NESPRESSO aims to establish its presence starting with a boutique in Delhi, followed by expansion into other major cities. In addition to physical outlets, NESPRESSO will be accessible online via various e-commerce platforms, enriching Nestlé India’s portfolio of premium coffee offerings.
NESPRESSO, recognized as a certified B Corp™, is synonymous with coffee innovation and excellence, crafting unique blends and recipes for a superior coffee experience. All NESPRESSO coffees are meticulously manufactured in state-of-the-art facilities in Switzerland and distributed globally through Nestlé channels.
Suresh Narayanan, Chairman and Managing Director of Nestlé India, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “The imminent arrival of NESPRESSO in India promises to unlock novel experiences and introduce extraordinary coffees to consumers, enthusiasts, and connoisseurs alike. With a noticeable shift towards in-home coffee consumption and an expanding young population embracing global trends, India emerges as one of Nestlé’s fastest-growing coffee markets.”
Guillaume Le Cunff, CEO of Nestlé NESPRESSO S.A., shared his excitement, saying, “We are thrilled to introduce NESPRESSO to the coffee enthusiasts of India. Over nearly four decades, NESPRESSO has remained dedicated to enhancing the coffee journey with our signature taste and unwavering commitment to sustainability. Having sourced green coffee from India since 2011, we eagerly anticipate further growth in this promising market.”
NESPRESSO places a strong emphasis on quality beans through its NESPRESSO AAA Sustainable Quality™ Program, established in collaboration with the Rainforest Alliance in 2003. With over 150,000 coffee farmers across 18 countries participating, the program is supported by approximately 600 NESPRESSO agronomists who provide training and resources to enhance coffee quality, farm productivity, and sustainability. By sourcing high-quality coffee beans through this program, farmers receive a premium, contributing to improved livelihoods and sustainable farming practices. Currently, over 93% of NESPRESSO’s coffee is sustainably sourced through this initiative, with the brand actively engaging with around 2,000 coffee farmers in India.
Headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, NESPRESSO operates in more than 90 markets worldwide, boasting a network of over 800 boutiques across approximately 500 cities.
