August 2021: The Covid-19 pandemic had a devastating impact on the academic calendar. The exams like NEET, JEE etc. were postponed. But now as things are getting back to the path the exams are being scheduled.
The NEET PG is a highly competitive exam that is held for admission to various MD (Doctor of Medicine)/MS (Master in Surgery) and PG Diploma courses across the country.
The NEET PG 2021 is scheduled to be held on 11th September, 2021.
Students appearing for the online National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) post graduate exams are under relief as the new registration and edit window is open for NEET PG 2021. Aspirants were demanding for the same since a new reservation policy was announced.
National Medical Commission in its meeting held on 24.05.2021 has decided to extend the cut-off date for completion of internship to 30.09.2021 for the purpose of eligibility for NEET-PG 2021.
Accordingly, desirable candidates who are completing their internship during 01.07.2021 to 30.09.2021 and are fulfilling all other criteria as prescribed in the Information Bulletin of NEET-PG 2021 can apply for NEET-PG 2021 during the registration window.
The Government of India vide its letter No. MoHFW C.18018/18/2015-ME-II dated 30.07.2021 has communicated the decision regarding implementation of the OBC and EWS reservation in All India Quota scheme. Therefore, candidates who are already registered for NEET-PG 2021 examination can change their category and EWS status during this window, if they desire to do so. The window will not allow change to any other information already provided in the application form.
Both Registration Window and Edit Window will open on 16.08.2021 (3PM onwards) and will close on 20.08.2021 (at 11:55PM). Same can be accessed through NBEMS website https://nbe.edu.in under NEET-PG 2021 weblink.
Commenting on the same Mr. Gaurav Tyagi, Founder- Career Xpert said, ”The decision taken by NMC, NBE, GoI and the concerned authorities is somewhere giving relief to the doctors. This is also an opportunity for the candidates who missed out filling the form before. The candidates who are completing their internship on 30th September 2021 can also apply. But there are chances that the competition will be high this time because probably 10,000 to 15,000 more candidates will apply. My best wishes to all the aspirants.”
