Bengaluru, 25 October, 2021: “Perseverance, focus, self-confidence and willingness to take calculated risk are essential to becoming a successful entrepreneur” said Mr. Rohith Bhat, CEO, 99Games. He was sharing his entrepreneurial journey during a program on “Story of a successful entrepreneur” organized at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, as part of its continuous activity to promote entrepreneurship among students. Hailing from Udupi, Mr. Rohith dreamt of developing a globally competitive enterprise in Udupi. As a parallel entrepreneur, he founded three companies namely, Robosoft Technologies, Global Delight and 99Games.
While inaugurating the program, Lt. Gen. (Dr.) M D Venkatesh, Vice Chancellor, MAHE mentioned as to how MAHE ecosystem is nurturing innovation & entrepreneurship and also extending its facilities to start-ups beyond incubation support. During the opening remarks Prof. Madhu Veeraraghavan, Director, T A Pai Management Institute, Manipal, opined that both success and failure stories of entrepreneurs are essential for aspiring entrepreneurs. In his closing remarks, Commander (Dr.) Anil Rana, Director, Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal, mentioned that “Lessons from Rohith Bhat’s journey like identifying opportunities in challenging environment and creating one’s differentiator by focusing on niche areas are worth practising by the younger generation”.
The program was jointly organized by Office of Corporate Relations, MAHE, MIT, TAPMI, Manipal Universal Technology Business Incubator (MUTBI) and Entrepreneurship Cell, MIT. Dr. Raviraja N S, Director, Corporate Relations, MAHE welcomed and Dr. Y Shrihari Upadhyaya, CEO, MUTBI proposed vote of thanks.
