27th May 2022: Ramco Industries announced the launch of their newest manufacturing plant in Arakkonam, Tamil Nadu. They have a production capacity of 11.5 million square meters for India’s premier green product, the “Calcium Silicate Board and Tiles range,” which is presently supplied to over 15 countries. Their global export will extend to 40 countries with the new state-of-the-art plant.

The Arakkonam plant will cater to this growing demand with state of the art products adhering to the highest global performance and green safety standards”, said Prem Shanker, CEO of Ramco Industries.

He further adds, “Bengaluru has emerged to become our key hub of growth with increased sales in recent years. This can be attributed to the greater awareness levels and popularity of sustainable products in the city. The city is also probably the fastest growing in the construction sector today in India with the city witnessing rapid expansion.”

Ramco Industries currently clocks a revenue of Rupees 1450 crores globally. Their first manufacturing plant is in Keshwana, Rajasthan with a capacity of 7.5 million sq.m. Spurred with the increased demand, the company is witnessing consistent year-on-year growth and is expecting a 15% revenue growth in the coming years with the addition of the new plant. Their Hilux product (board and tiles) is a green and sustainable product for false ceilings and drywalls which is the ideal material for IT parks/Pharma/Biotech buildings. Created to withstand fire, water, termite, fungal attacks, and deliver sound resistance, Ramco Hilux provides superior thermal performance compared to other boards in the dry construction product market. Hilux boards has been successfully utilized in Bangalore’s IT Parks including Ecospace, Ecoworld, Embassy, Manyata, Global, Bagmane Tech Parks, as also in other commercial buildings like Cipla Pharma, Biocon, and Medicare, to name a few.
