Bengaluru 20th January 2022. On behalf of all the Private Schools of Karnataka , Dr Afshad Ahmed , State President Private Schools and Children Welfare Association Karnataka organised a press conference to appeal the state government to consider reopening the school across state and submitted a memorandum to Karnataka Chief Minister.
The content of the letter goes like this ,
To
The Honourable Chief Minister of Karnataka
Subject: Regarding the opening of schools.
Honourable Chief Minister,
Being a proud, popular and educated Chief Minister of the state. we all want to bring to your kind notice some important things regarding the education of this state and the future of the children as well.
Sir, being associated with the education world, we are very much concerned about the future of the children. As being the guardians of the entire state, we would like to draw your attention to some important points.
As World Bank Director of Global Education Mr Jaime Savedra has also clearly stated that the spread of the virus is not related to the opening of the schools, so there is no justification to keep the school closed, he said that there is no evidence of this. Not in the case of coronavirus from reopening schools developed. Last year, schools were locked given the ill effects of coronavirus, but it is difficult to compensate for the dark shadows that have been imposed on the bright future of the children. Therefore, if this mistake is repeated like in the past, then it will be deliberately throwing the bright future of the children into darkness.
Sir, Private Schools and Children Welfare Association is ready to fulfil the dream of a beautiful, healthy and educated state by working step by step with you. All the private schools of the state will make the vaccination campaign successful by giving all possible cooperation to the government it is not possible to vaccinate 100% of children between 15 years and 18 years of age without opening the school. From the very beginning, the association and private schools have played a positive role in making the vaccination campaign successful in the state. When school children will take the vaccine inspired by the teachers, then due to many misconceptions, their parents who ignore the seriousness of the infection will also be inspired to take the vaccine and next month when the vaccination of children above the age of 12 to 15 years will start, then these same children will be mentally prepared to take the vaccination. Because they would already be motivated and fearless from the vaccine as they were witness of the same of their senior schoolmates in the school premises.
It is requested to you that taking into consideration the above things, permission should be given to open the school without any delay, for this the association will always be grateful to you.
Thank you
Dr Afshad Ahmed B.Z
State President Private Schools and Children Welfare Association Karnataka.
