Total cost of the Project – INR 11,68,000
Bangalore, 17 July 2021: As part of the Round Table India ( RTI) ongoing initiatives to support the underserved during this pandemic, Bangalore North Round Table 25 ( BNRT 25) in partnership with Embassy Group, have distributed 2000 ration kits as per the request received from The Chairman of Bangalore International Airport Area Planning Authority ( BIAPPA) for migrants in and around Devanahalli.The total value of the project was 11,68,000. Each kit consisted of food essentials like flour, rice pulses, sugar, oil, turmeric etc and along with health essentials like Vim, soap bars etc.
Sachin Talreja, Chairman of the Bangalore North Round Table 25 said, “RTI is making every effort to support the underserved across the country. While wave 2 may be behind us the kind of hardships migrant workers are facing now is unimaginable and we hope these contributions help ease the suffering of the people. We strive to do more such drives in the future. We are grateful to the Embassy Group who helped us with the required funds for this initiative.”
“It is really a blessing for us to receive help like rice, dal, atta, sugar, salt, oil, soaps etc . On behalf of everyone, I would like to say thank you. I thank the staff of BIAPPA who carried out the distribution kits”, said one of the migrant workers.
Round Table India, is an organisation of non-political and non-sectarian young men between the age group of 18 and 40, promoting service, fellowship and goodwill in national and international affairs. Working towards the education of underprivileged children, till date, 7141 classrooms have been built across India in 3041 schools, impacting over 78 lakhs children.
