Hyderabad, June 2022: With an endeavor to instill the 21st century skills and augment their creative minds, through a gamut of interesting activities, SAI International Education Group hosted a 10-day e-Summer Fiesta Season 3.0 from June 1 to 13, 2022, for the students from SAI International School (SIS), SAI International Residential School (SIRS) and SAI Angan. The Summer Fiesta was divided into two sections Morning and the Evening Expert Session.
More than 25 workshops and training sessions were organised for the students from playgroup to Class IX in the morning sessions. Some of the workshops included Tie-Dye Workshop, Straw Art, Balanced Brigade Workshop, Terracotta Workshop, Modern Dance, Science Magic, Musical Storytelling Workshop, Zumbastic Workshop, Zero Waste Challenge, Newspaper Art Workshop, Hip Hop Workshop on STEM, Campoli Art Workshop, Reels, Web Designing Workshop, Workshop on ‘Connected Pen Art’, Workshop on Hand-Print Painting, T-Shirt Painting Workshop, Interior Designing Workshop, and many more. Eminent personalities from different walks of life inspired, motivated and entertained the SAIoneers, teachers and the parents.
“We talk of IQ, EQ, but I realized the crux what SAI was doing is HQ that is the Happiness Quotient”, said Prof. Aditi Bhutoria from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta speaking at the Evening Expert Session on the Case Study conducted by IIM-C on SAI International on the topic SAI International School – In Pursuit of Academic Happiness.
In a Session conducted by International level Archer Shri Sanand Salil Mitra explained how sports enhances and enables learning and how it helps in mental stability he also emphasized on how one should always pursue ones passion whatever it takes. Inspiring students today will build a better India, envisioned late Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo, Founder-Chairman SAI International Education Group. In a session with Group Captain Atanu Guru,Vir Chakra Yudh Seva Medal (Veteran) while talking to the children on leadership enlightened them with the thought that a true leader is a person does good to others and think about the growth of others.
Dr Kanann Gireesh, a Motivational Speaker, Founder and CEO of Live Life Education Pvt Ltd. and a renowned Psychiatrist, laid the ten principles of leadership for student, teachers and parents being vision, committed to vision, communication, discipline, perseverance, feedback, trust, role model, take care of yourself, gratitude. ”If a person follows these fundamental principles; he or she is bound to be successful”, said Dr. Kannan Gireesh. Bollywood Singer and composer, Abhijeet Mishra Bollywood Singer, and Sadho Band, an internet singing sensation enchanted the audiences with their melodious and soulful singing.
Chairperson SAI International, Dr. Silpi Sahoo said that every possible step is been taken to ensure that the children are actively and constructively engaged as well as enriched with the new millennium skills. Competent Resource persons from India and abroad are roped in to train the students on various activities, for an amazing experience. International and National Speakers of repute addressed the evening Expert Sessions, making the E-Summer Fiesta unique in true sense.

![New Delhi [India], January 9: Visually impaired cricketer and captain of Indian Men’s Cricket Team for the Blind Illuri Ajay Kumar Reddy on Tuesday was conferred with Prestigious Arjuna Award from the President of India at a specially organized function at Rashtrapati Bhavan. National Sports Awards are given every year to recognize and reward excellence in sports. Arjuna Award for outstanding performance in Sports and Games is given for good performance over a period of the previous three years and for showing qualities of leadership, sportsmanship and a sense of discipline. Illuri Ajay Kumar Reddy (Blind Cricket) is among the 26 sportspersons who were honoured with Arjuna Award for outstanding performance in Sports and Games 2023. The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports last month had announced the National Sports Awards 2023. The nominated stars received their awards from the President of India. “I am overwhelmed with this recognition. I dedicate this award to my Parents and Family members for their support. I also would like to thank Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) and all the players with whom I have played,” Ajay Reddy said in a statement. Congratulating Arjuna awardee Dr Mahantesh G Kivadasannavar, Chairman- Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) said “It is an honour and proud moment for all the blind cricketers across the world. It is the good recognition for the hard work and dedication in taking Cricket for the Blind to the next level through various achievements by the Indian Men’s Cricket Team for the blind under the leadership of Ajay Reddy. CABI is happy that cricket for the blind is getting the recognition with other major sports.” Following the Award ceremony, Illuri Ajay Reddy, the chairman of the Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) Dr Mahantesh G Kivadasannavar and CABI secretary Shailender Yadav also met Indian pacer Mohammad Shami. Shami is also among the 26 sportspersons who were honoured with Arjuna Award on Tuesday. Illuri Ajay Reddy is currently working in SBI regional office in Bangalore. He is a B2 category player, who is representing India since 2010. He has been part of winning two ODI World Cups, 3 T20 world cups, 1 Asia Cup. Ajay is the captain of the Indian cricket team for the blind since 2016. Under his captaincy Team India has won 1 ODI world cup, 2 T20 world cups, 1 Asia Cup and the Silver Medal in IBSA World Games and many bilateral and triangular Series. Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) acknowledges the great support received from the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports through this award.
