NEW DELHI – February 22, 2025 – Sajjan Jindal, Chairman of the JSW Group, received the prestigious “Business Leader of the Decade” award at the 15th AIMA Managing India Awards ceremony. This accolade recognizes Mr. Jindal’s transformative leadership and significant contributions to JSW Group’s global expansion.
The award was presented by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of Education, and Shri Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry; Electronics and IT, in the presence of distinguished guests. The citation was read by Mr. Yezdi Nagporewalla, Chief Executive Officer, KPMG India.
During Mr. Jindal’s tenure, JSW Group has experienced remarkable growth, more than doubling its revenue to US$24 billion. His strategic vision has fueled a near tripling of the group’s annual steel production capacity to 39 million tonnes, while also establishing JSW as a key player in renewable energy and cement manufacturing.
The award highlights Mr. Jindal’s crucial role in aligning JSW Group with India’s infrastructure modernization efforts. Under his leadership, JSW has become the second-largest private player in India’s ports sector and has strategically entered future-oriented industries like electric vehicles and military drones through international collaborations.
