Bengaluru, September 11 — St. Paul’s College hosted a TEDx Talks event themed “Ideas Beyond the Boundaries,” bringing together an eclectic mix of thought leaders, experts, and young visionaries to share transformative insights. Inaugurating the programme, Rev. Fr. Dr. Thomas M.J., Principal of St. Paul’s College, highlighted the global significance of TEDx platforms, noting that they excel at amplifying local voices and showcasing innovative ideas from everyday people alongside established figures.
The session featured compelling presentations across technology, environmental action, personal transformation, and science:
- Fr. Dr. Joseph T.C., President of St. Paul’s College, urged students to foster critical thinking and creative problem-solving in his talk, “It’s Not About the Glass.”
- Mahantesh G., Founder-President of Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, presented “From Braille to Bytes,” detailing three decades of technological advancements empowering persons with disabilities.
- Revathi Kamath, Environmentalist, underscored the vital ecological impact of urban water bodies in “A Lake Is Not Just a Lake.”
- Arthith Rajanath M., a student at Christ ISC School and the event’s youngest speaker, sparked scientific curiosity with an engaging talk on astrophysics titled “Please Stop Asking.”
Additional thought-provoking sessions were delivered by author and storyteller Ramendra Kumar; Vishal Rajani, Founder of FlowLife India; AI researcher Ananya Vinod; Saurabh Gupta; and Ajay Srinivas. Collectively, the speakers stressed the essential roles of creativity, technology, social responsibility, and leadership in driving positive societal change.
