With over a decade of rich experience in the hospitality industry, Syed Yakoob Kaleem joins Grand Mercure Bengaluru Gopalan Mall as the Rooms Division Manager. In his role, he will lead the front office and housekeeping functions of the 212 key hotel with 02 F&B outlets and 10 meeting spaces.
A graduate of the Institute of Hotel Management Bangalore, Syed began his career as a Graduate Management Trainee in 2011 at the Novotel & ibis Bengaluru Outer Rind Road. He then rose steadily to become Duty Manager and Assistant Front Office Manager. Syed then moved to the ibis City Centre Bangalore as the Front Office Manager & also took on additional responsibility as the ALL SAFE Officer, leading the implementation of COVID sanitation and safety protocols at the hotel. Throughout the course of his career, Syed has proven his expertise in hotel operations, revenue management and customer relations management
