9 Athletes and 4 Basketball players take Center Stage as the Two Participating Sports

Bengaluru, June 26, 2023: The Bangalore Schools Sports Foundation (BSSF) proudly announces its participation in the 55th International Children’s Games (ICG) held in Daegu, South Korea between 5th to 10th July 2023. This remarkable achievement marks BSSF’s 13th consecutive year representing Bengaluru and India at the ICG, also known as the Children’s Olympics. 9 Athletes (Track and Field) and 4 Basketball players participate in this year’s Global Multi-Sport competition, recognized, endorsed, and organized under the auspicious of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The ICG is a multisport competition exclusively for children aged 12 to 15, hosted annually in different countries by City Mayors and Governors, inviting children from all over the globe.

Keeping our Nation’s Flag high, the Bangalore Schools Sports Foundation has been working relentlessly to develop sports from the grass-root level and has been determined to create opportunities for children to compete at the world’s most prestigious International Children’s Games.  The participating athletes have undergone rigorous training and preparation to excel in their respective sports disciplines. The dedication and commitment demonstrated by these young athletes reflect the values instilled by BSSF, emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline.

Since the year 2009, the Children athletes from Bangalore City have been participating in the games with continued efforts of BSSF Track & Field Academy which has chosen the best-talented Athletes from across the city’s schools and Athletic Clubs to participate at the International Children Games (Children Olympics)
