Hexagon, the global leader in reality technology, recently presented a data-rich digital twin of the Qutub Shahi Tombs to the government of Telangana. This digital twin of the 16th-century heritage site is a proof-of-concept of Hexagon’s Reality Technology for Smart Cities capabilities. In a press release note issued by Hexagon, IT Minister D Sridhar Babu, Government of Telangana says in a quote that the Government in keen in making Hyderabad a City of the Future.

Advanced smart city technologies can support the preservation of historic landmarks through advanced digital innovation.

Question 1) Sir, how do you plan to make Hyderabad a city of the future?
Answer 1) Telangana believes in making Hyderabad a city of the future. To do that, we also need to be a responsible custodian of the rich heritage of the state.
Question 2) Sir, can you comment on the digital twin of the Qutub Shahi tombs?
Answer 2) We are delighted that Hexagon India R&D, based in our very own city and being the largest R&D centre of the company, has developed a data-rich digital twin of the Qutub Shahi tombs.
Question 3) Sir, what is the way forward for a smart City?
Answer 3) I am confident that using smart technologies to preserve, maintain and restore our rich heritage is the right way forward for a smart city.
