Bengaluru, 1st March 2024: Founded in 2017 with the vision of enabling and amplifying leadership development opportunities for individuals and institutions engaged in K-12 education systems, Bengaluru-based ShikshaLokam proudly presents InvokED – a Global Dialogue on Education Leadership. In its third edition, the country’s education ecosystem will come together to shape an education movement so that all children in India can dream, learn and succeed. To be held at the National Institute of Advanced Studies, Bengaluru on 1st & 2nd March 2024, InvokED 3.0 is slated to witness participation from education leaders, practitioners, academicians, market players, teachers and students from across the globe, with many insightful and action-oriented conversations lined up to identify new drivers to power the ongoing people’s movement for education equity.
Speaking on the foundational principles that guide ShikshaLokam’s endeavours, Mr. S.D Shibulal, Co-Founder of Infosys and Founder of ShikshaLokam added, “For our children to get access to quality education as a fundamental right, public schools in our country have to improve; and for schools to improve, the education leaders have to own and lead the process of improvement. And they need continuous support and resources to do that. However, achieving this vision requires collective action from all actors engaged in improving the learning outcomes. ShikshaLokam was founded to effectuate a virtuous cycle of leadership development, building momentum for this movement towards education equity through its programs, solutions and digital infrastructure. Today, our reach spans across 27 Indian states and UTs, with over 570,000 education leaders leading improvements in more than a million schools across the nation.”
While the previous two editions put the spotlight on education leadership and the need for collaboration to mitigate associated challenges at the grassroot level, InvokED 3.0 will explore the various catalysts for orchestrating an education movement and put the spotlight on leaders orchestrating different social movements. The 3rd edition will focus on how collective leadership and efforts can power India’s journey towards equity in education, inspiring and energising the ecosystem towards the vision of a world-class Indian education system. With 32+ distinguished speakers expected to be a part of the various panel discussions, interactive brain dates and addresses at the event, participants will dive deep into the art of movement orchestration, explore visionary leadership in education, and envision the transformative 2030 roadmap for education in India.
Elaborating on the genesis of InvokED 3.0, Ms. Khushboo Awasthi, Co-founder of ShikshaLokam effused, “At ShikshaLokam, we have been reimagining education leadership by catalysing interactions, ideas and actions leading to development opportunities for individuals and institutions engaged in K-12 education systems. We wanted the 2024 edition to provide participants an opportunity to come together and reimagine solutions and strategies to drive sustainable change in their individual ecosystems, which will uplift the education system as a whole. Thus, InvokED 3.0 will not only have many industry leaders and policy experts sharing their inspiring stories and perspectives, but also have many promising education leaders detail how they have designed various programs to solve complex challenges in their organisations. Ultimately, the aim is to foster a collaborative environment that can stimulate and sustain a people’s movement for education equity in India”
Day 2 at InvokED 3.0 is Shikshāgraha Utsav – a celebration of innovation and micro-improvement stories in classrooms from across the country. Kicking off an unparalleled dialogue dedicated to advancing education equity in India, ShikshaLokam co-creates innovative solutions in collaboration with government functionaries, CSOs and academic bodies to address multiple challenges that are proving detrimental to India’s SDG of ensuring access to quality education. The NGO is at the forefront of co-creating solutions and programs, towards distributing the ability to solve the gaps that exist in education leadership development space and improving the agency of actors in the ecosystem to drive large scale educational change programs.
