Vedanta IOK completes renovation and infrastructure development at Govt Science College, Vedanta Iron Ore Karnataka’s (IOK) has completed the renovation and infrastructure development project at Government Science College, Chitradurga that was undertaken earlier this year. The infrastructure projects by Vedanta’s IOK were inaugurated today, in the distinguished presence of Sri. A. Narayanswamy, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, the Principal & management staff of Government Science College, and top management of Vedanta IOK.
The infrastructure development project by Vedanta includes the construction of a compound wall surrounding the entire campus space, 6 sanitation facilities, electrification of the school building, and others to ensure a conducive and safe environment for students’ education. Over 2500 students will benefit from this project which is aimed at providing robust education infrastructure for children of the surrounding villages of Chitradurga. These infrastructure upgradations at Govt. Science college established the necessary standards for setting up Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan in Chitradurga. The Vedanta IOK was highly appreciated by the officials and community stakeholders for impacting the lives of local communities of Chitradurga through their CSR initiatives, time and again.
