Guwahati, October 2, 2021: Leading Assamese OTT platform Reeldrama’s latest web-series, ‘Mrityunjoy’, is getting rave reviews from the lovers of Assamese entertainment content.
Director Nanon Pachani’s ‘Mrityunjoy’ was released on the Reeldrama platform on September 22 and since then, it has generated huge interest among the viewers.
‘Mrityunjoy’ highlights the story of a person who is “more powerful than normal humans” and finds the mystery behind his extraordinary power in his past. As the mystery unfolds, he encounters a serial killer who is much more powerful than him, who has murdered nine people without leaving any clues.
The first season of the web-series, presented in eight episodes, has a gripping plot filled with suspense. The cast of ‘Mrityunjoy’ includes Joy Kashayp, Udayan Duwara, Richa Bharadwaj, Ranjeev Lal Barua, Rupam Sarma, Bhagawat Pritam.
The Reeldrama Original web-series is created by Ratan Sil Sarma and written by Nayan Saud and Jahnavi Majumdar.Music for the Assamese web-series is composed by Brince Bora while sound design is done by Bolen and the Editing and VFX by Shyamol Das.
The web-series is produced by Reeldrama directors Kuheli Dasgupta and Sumit Dasgupta.
Speaking about how he created the unique character, director Nanon Pasonisaid:“For one and a half years I was living in Mrityunjoy’s world, creating and giving it life. A world that I had never experienced in real life. It was a challenge to turn Mrityunjoy’s imaginary world into reality. But now seeing responses from you guys, I think we did pretty well… Thank you so much for loving Mrityunjoy.”
Creator of ‘Mrityunjoy’, Ratan Sil Sarma said: “We were very careful about the treatment, and the look and feel of the web-series because this is a superhero story. With the success of ‘Mrityunjoy’, viewers can soon expect more original content from Reeldrama. The OTT platform will soon release seven other original web series – ‘Ki Kuwa Dosti’ by Kenny D Basumatary, ‘Khudha, the hunger’ by Munna Ahmed, ‘OU’ by Sankalpajit Hazarika, ‘Trojan’ by Himjyoti Talukdar and Dhruva Bordoloi, ‘Amar Prem’ by Kalpajyoti Das, ‘Neul’ by Chanku Niranjan Nath and ‘L’ by Pervez Ahmed.
Besides these, the Assamese OTT platform also announced two exclusive original films – ‘Hero’ by Himanshu Prasad Das and ‘Ejoni Suwali’ by Chinmoy Sharmah.
