Madhavaram,Chennai,22 July 2022. St.Ann’s Matriculation Higher Secondary School,Madhavaram,Chennai took initiative to awaken the artist in young minds by hosting the 14th season of World’s largest Painting Festival, Colorothon – Draw your imagination in school premises.This coloring festival opened the way for St.Ann’s school students for being the part of World record.
With the acknowledgement of the Principal Rev.Sr.Mary Vinitha,the Colorothon team addressed the students, regarding the event.Colorothon is a joint initiative by ” Breath Entertainment and Kids Chaupal”aims to discover the exultation of painting.
” Vision is the art of seeing things invisible” says Jonathan Swift.Mr.Kishore Joseph who envisioned Colorothon,started in 2014 inspired by the movie ” Taare Zameen Par”. ” By awakening the artist in everyone, Colorothon is engaging the brains,hands and minds of everyone in coloring what they imagine” says our Principal Rev.Sr.Mary Vinitha.
Albert Einstein rightly says” The more you imagine, the more you be creative” .The students were allowed to draw and paint as per their interests .Approximately 2500 students from Pre -KG to XII std came together with their innovative ideas to enkindle their imagination and gave active participation.
A boy from class 8 portrayed ” the multi- faceted nature of women“.When asked,he said,he had been inspired by his mother who was not only a splendid mother but also a hard working business woman
A girl from class 11 emphasized in her work “the importance of education in child’s life” and her plea to government to eradicate Child labour.”
The goal of art is the vital expression of self”.
“Creativity is a therapy”. Through this event,every child got an opportunity to experience the thrill of painting. As Mr.Kishore says” Children would get some quality time by doing something creative”.
